Report cards can be a hefty task, I get it. They’re an important task, but they are one extra thing and most teachers I talk to say that grading, filling in grades to a report card system, and especially writing report card comments takes them 3, 4, or even 5 hours to do. If report cards have been taking you hours upon hours to do, then you are going to love this episode! I’m sharing 3 mistakes that I’ve made when it comes to writing report cards to help you with what not to do so you can write accurate and objective report cards for your students in less than 2 hours.
Whether you're working on report cards into the seriously early hours of the morning - I’m talking 1 or 2 AM and then going into work absolutely exhausted - or you're saving them until the very last minute... I totally get it because this WAS me. And honestly, I just thought that’s how it was for teachers, right?
But the reality is - it doesn’t have to be like this. Now, I can get my report cards done on time and without entering into heightened stress levels. And it all comes down to avoiding the 3 mistakes I’m going to share with you in today’s episode.
